I was walking down the street. Houses were laughing at me like I was a Jack–in –the-box and the birds were screeching like they wanted me to hit myself on the head with my 320 pages of math’s textbook.
I had homework.
On a Friday.
My life flashed by me.
OK, well, I’m excessively overacting, but I sat infront of the computer for another 3 hours, googling about Preserje and Radomlje villages.
I found almost nada, except for two short Wikipedia pages. So I went for a walk.
I stepped down the Kamniška Bistrica’s river bed and turned around to the mountains. I could just imagine its source up in the Kamnik – Savinian Alps, its affluent down to the Sava river. I slowly crossed the bridge, leading from Preserje to Radomlje and likewise so I could take a better look at the millstone on the roundabout. Some say, the village’s name’s origin was all about the mills, but the village was first mentioned in 1353 that’s why some think it was all about the Slovakian name Rado(m). That’s at least what my grand aunty said.
I turned to the Preserje, my school’s yard. It’s one of Domžale’s suburbaned villages, chilling on the right side of the Kamniška Bistrica’s riverbank. Interesting fact: nobody except some Domžale’s citizens and the actual Preserians knows where our village is. But, it’s a beautiful little piece of heaven from the Homec hill to its suburbians. It has the Preserje pri Radomljah Primary school and it’s a very pleasant neighbour to Radomlje. And than it was like those cartoon moments, when a bulb ligts up in case of the characters idea. I ran home like I just remembered I had a chocolate mousse cake in my fridge. Sitting infront of my comp for a while, I wrote about Preserje and Radomlje’s continental climate and 20 minutes distance from capital Ljubljana; I mentioned Volčji Potok and Arboretum or Souvan’s park, founded in 1952 by agronomic university of Ljubljana – one of the Slovenian central botanical gardens. I wrote a word or two about Radomlje’s parish and organized catechesis and Količevo paper mill, other industrial branches like Vir Helios and others.
Overly satisfied with my work I saved the paper and send it to my teacher. I went to the beach on Saturday.
